MY ENZYMES ANIMATION

Hey fellow bloggers today is a really exciting day in the history of blogging!! Drum Roll Please!! I created my very own animation! This animation is a part of the enzymes topic and illustrates the idea of substrate binding to the active site. It shows the different stages in binding, from the substrate now being attached to the enzyme’s active site to the release of the products. The colours of the products are different from that of the substrate because I wanted to show that the product were different well in actuality in shape but for the purpose of this animation we would say colour from the substrate thus prevents the products from reattaching to the enzyme’s active site. This animation also illustrates the Induced Fit model of substrate binding in oppose to the Lock & Key model as the enzyme’s active site does change slightly to better compliment the substrate. Enjoy!
